Trial & Evidence Support

Trial and Evidence Services

Trial work runs on a clock that does not move. Cascade builds the notebooks, tabs and exhibits that go into the courtroom, duplicates audio and video evidence, and takes on the projects that do not fit a standard order.

Cascade is equipped for special evidence projects and works with each client to develop a cost-effective approach. We are available to work anywhere in the United States, usually on short lead time, and we work to capture, duplicate or return evidence to its custodians with as few disruptions as possible.

Trial notebooks and exhibits

A trial notebook is a working tool. It gets opened under pressure, in front of a judge, by someone who needs a specific page immediately. Cascade builds notebooks with custom tabs and binding so the set holds together through a trial and the tabs mean what counsel expects them to mean.

Exhibits are mounted for presentation, and oversize material is reproduced at the size the courtroom needs rather than reduced to fit a copier.

Audio and video evidence

Cascade duplicates and produces audio and video evidence in commonly used formats, including video, DVD and cassette tape duplication, and conversion from video to DVD and CD-ROM media.

Older media is its own problem: a deposition recorded on a format no one still has a player for is evidence that cannot be shown. Conversion is worth doing before the matter needs it, not the week of trial.

If you are unsure what a piece of media even is, bring it in. Identifying it is usually the first half of the job.

Special evidence projects and on-site work

Some evidence cannot leave the room it is in. Cascade takes on special evidence projects and works with each client to develop a cost-effective approach, including on-site evidence duplication and scanning at a client, opposing party or third-party location, and remote location work anywhere in the United States, usually on short lead time.

The aim on an on-site job is to capture, duplicate or return evidence to its custodians with as few disruptions as possible. Cascade also duplicates microfilm and takes on records retention imaging that does not fit a standard order.

No job is too big or too small. If it does not fit a category, call and describe it.
